Our Pastors

In 2014, God spoke to Pastor JJ and Pastor Liz Vasquez to plant a church that would serve their community and the city of Orlando selflessly. 2 years later on September 18, 2016, that vision became a reality when Journey Church held its first service in the auditorium of Winter Park High School. Since launch, Journey Church has seen incredible growth and is often recognized as one of the fastest growing churches in the US.

Their mission was then, and continues to be, straightforward: to create a place where Jesus is accessible to anyone. A church for those who don’t go to church, for their neighbors and family, as well as the neighbors and family of everyone who calls Journey home. 

Pastor JJ holds a Bachelor's Degree in Religion from the University of Florida, as well as a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern University. He and Pastor Liz have been married since 2008 and have 2 amazing boys: Justice (2012), and Zane (2013). When they’re not serving the church, they love to eat, watch movies, spend time with family, and exercise.
