Overview:
Journey Church in Orlando is seeking a skilled and passionate Technical Director to oversee and maintain the church's technical systems, ensuring high-quality performance and reliability for worship services, events, and online broadcasts. This role requires strong technical expertise and a heart for ministry to create an engaging and distraction-free worship environment. A key focus of this role is the management and support of multicampus IT and broadcast systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and consistency across all locations. The Technical Director will align with Journey Church’s mission to make Jesus accessible to anyone by ensuring that technology serves as a bridge, not a barrier, to encountering Christ.
Key Responsibilities:
Systems Management: Maintain and troubleshoot all audio, visual, and lighting systems to ensure seamless operation.
Multicampus IT & Broadcast Systems: Oversee and manage IT infrastructure and broadcast systems across multiple campuses, ensuring consistent and high-quality streaming and connectivity.
Technical Support: Provide direct technical support to the Audio, Video, and Lighting Directors to help execute high-quality worship services and events.
Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the upkeep, repair, and upgrade of all technical equipment.
Infrastructure Planning: Assist in the planning and execution of system upgrades and installations within budget and timeline constraints.
Collaboration: Work alongside the Audio, Video, and Lighting Directors to ensure all technical aspects are aligned and functioning optimally.
Content Production Support: Assist with video recording, editing, and online content distribution as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Audio Engineering, IT, Broadcast Technology, or a similar discipline.
A strong personal commitment to Jesus Christ and the mission of Journey Church.
Proven experience in AV systems, live production, and broadcast technology.
Proficiency in digital audio consoles (DiGiCo, Midas, or Behringer similar), lighting software (Chamsys), and video production (e.g., ProPresenter, PVP, Resolume, Blackmagic, OBS, and Resi).
Strong expertise in multicampus IT infrastructure, network management, and live streaming solutions (Ubiquity, Cisco).
Ability to architect an atmosphere of excellence by ensuring all technical aspects contribute to a welcoming and seamless worship experience.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent technical troubleshooting and systems management skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed for services and special events.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in church or ministry-based production environments.
Knowledge of networking and IT systems related to AV technology.
Understanding of worship culture and the role of technology in enhancing worship experiences.
